Large doses of antioxidants hurt you

Many people take high doses of antioxidant pills, although there is little evidence that high doses of antioxidant supplements prevent disease, and there are some indications that it may cause disease. Does it bother you that the ingestion of high doses of beta-carotene, vitamin A, increases the risk for heart attacks in men and increases the risk of lung cancer in smokers? Does it bother you that high doses of vitamin C do not prevent colon cancer, and do not prolong life in people withCancer? Other studies show that high doses of vitamin E is not lung cancer, heart disease or stroke, or that high doses of selenium do not prevent to prevent cancer.

Barry Haliwell the National University of Singapore, wrote an article in the British medical journal Lancet, why high doses of antioxidant vitamins prevent cancer, sometimes, and sometimes cause. Any chemical reaction in the body releases chemicals called free radicals that damage tissuecertain metals in the cell fluid versions. Antioxidants convert these free metals, which are harmless and very good oxidants that cause further cell damage. So sometimes antioxidants to protect cells and at other times, damage to them. If you think we know all about antioxidants, you should know that there is enormous controversy over them. I believe that the vitamins that you need from the food that you eat should be given, and from the sun. If you take the measures recommended dietary allowances of vitamins, go ahead, that it is unlikelyto harm. However, if you take high doses of vitamins, you have not the slightest idea if you hurt yourself, and I do not recommend large doses of vitamins to anyone.
